I don't see this kind of thing ever happening to Pasadena's Bill Bogaard, or Monrovia's Mary Ann Lutz, or Arcadia's John Wuo. Yet here in Sierra Madre the person who was our Mayor up until last April has, for whatever reason, gone over to the dark side. So far over that you have to wonder if there really is any way back for her.

of these things. We are posting this video today to correct that. It is a political train wreck that must be seen by all Sierra Madre residents.
To call her use of the phrase "uses the same steps as a child predator uses" to describe the actions of certain elected officials interested in governmental reform here in Sierra Madre inappropriate hardly does justice to what can be viewed in this video. That she should then go on to cite these officials by name, and in that very same ugly and disparaging context, is not the act of a reasonable person.
Many of the people I discussed this with yesterday believe that what she said Thursday evening represents actionable libel, and should two City Councilmembers decide to take former Mayor Walsh to Court over what she said in this video it could end up costing her dearly. So there is also that.
It also begs this question: Whatever happened to the Civility Party? Perhaps Nancy's fellow members, John Buchanan, Josh Moran and Joe Mosca, would want to share their views about this. Clearly her Thursday talk did not reflect well on those who supported and elected her to office in 2010.
And after all, this woman was actually elected to the City Council that year. People believed they were voting for her because she represented a kinder and gentler way of doing political business in this town.
Clearly that is now out the window. I think we need to hear from her supporters as well. So far they have been strangely silent.
