Tonight's Special Meeting of the City Council

Even though this is a "special meeting" brought about by the failure of our adjudicated newspaper, the unusually inept Mountain Views News, to publish a public notice dealing with the water related building moratorium that was supposed to be covered a few weeks back, some normal City Council business will be attended to this evening. And you do know that will include the shifting of a whole lot of cash.

Here are two items in particular.

Just in case you never quite believed that things such as Measure UUT were mostly about pensions and benefits.


The irony here being that had the Mountain Views News published the Building Moratorium Public Notice, this meeting wouldn't be taking place tonight. I guess this shows that sometimes you really don't get what you are paying for.

As for the water related building moratorium itself, here are the options the City Council is being presented with this evening by City Staff:


All pretty much cut and dried. Since all five Councilmembers declared their intention to support Ordinance No. 1358-U at a previous meeting, there should not be any surprises and tonight's soiree should end fairly early.
