Orange Crushed: Georgia GOP Gov Brian Kemp WILL NOT approve a commission to remove Fani Willis as DA

GA Gov Kemp: No Special Session on Fani Willis (MTN link): Georgia Governor Brian Kemp spoke to the media today at a press conference on the hurricane, and took some time to address right-wing calls for a Special Session to impeach Fani Willis and/or defund the Fulton County DA's Office.

He specifically addressed Senator Colton Moore's warning of a "civil war" if they don't remove Willis:

"There have been calls by one individual in the General Assembly and that got outside of these walls by the former president for a special session that would ignore current GA law and directly interfere with the proceedings of a separate but equal branch of government."

"In Georgia, we will not be engaging in political theater that only inflames the emotions of the moment. We will do what is right .. We need to be honest with people about what we're dealing with and not inciting people .. we have to be very careful when you're in power ... not to abuse that power."

Mod: Yes sir, when MAGAs don't get what they want, wacky tantrums are sure to follow. 

"Up to this point, I have not seen any evidence that DA Willis's actions or lack thereof warrant action by the Prosecuting Attorney Oversight Commission,"Kemp said in response to Moore's calls to remove her from office for indicting former President Donald Trump. "Regardless, in my mind, a special session of the General Assembly to end run around this law is not feasible and may ultimately prove to be unconstitutional."

Kemp's remarks, however, drew fury and rage from many Trump supporters, who took to the platform formerly known as Twitter to vent their frustrations at the conservative Georgia governor.

"Brian Kemp is a low life pos," wrote MAGA activist Debbie Dooley. "I have said for months he gave the green light to The Willis Witch-hunt to get rid of Trump. This proves it. Kemp just declared war on MAGA. If you are a Kemp ally, you are MAGAs enemy."

"Brian Kemp is a massive scumbag and the fact that team DeSantis always supports him against Trump shows you who they really are," fumed Trump supporter David Suslenskiy.
