QAnon Cultists Believe King Charles Signed a Proclamation Making Trump the President and That Biden Must Leave the White House (Political Flarelink): The QAnoniacs are having a busy month. Last week I wrote about Marjorie Taylor Greene’s dumb claim that some LGBTQ students are identifying as cats and using litterboxes, then earlier this week I wrote about a fanatical QAnon believer killing his wife and shooting his daughter. 

Now, according to ComicSands, they’re at it again, with a theory that’s at least as ridiculous as anything they have drummed up before: that King Charles III made Donald Trump the U.S. president once again when he signed an oath to uphold the security of the Church of Scotland.

And the month isn’t even half over yet. 

Last Saturday, King Charles signed his accession proclamation, thus declaring he was the successor to his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who died on September 8 at age 96, ending her 70-year reign, thus making her the longest reigning monarch in British history.

Charles also upheld his commitment to the Church of Scotland. Historically, this pledge has been signed by monarchs who, as new heads of state, pledge to honor the separation of the Presbyterian Church from the Church of England, thus affirming Church identity.

As Comic Sands notes, this has zip, nada, zilch to do with American politics, but this hasn’t stopped the QAnon crazy, which is extremely popular on Telegram, where one channel is rife with the nonsense that insists Charles signed “a proclamation stating that Donald Trump won the 2020 Presidential election and is the rightful President by law.”

But then that channel issued a creepy message that would be scary if it weren’t so nonsensical — warning that war will break out between Britain and the U.S. if President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris don’t vacate the White House in the next 48 hours.
