I guess NUW was so upset by my column that their minds became clouded, because the guy they hired to write their reply is none other than Sierra Madre's own, Dave Link. His attempt at refutation will appear in the Opinion section of this Sunday's Star News edition.
They probably would have been better off just writing a letter, IMHO.
So you know, I found out about this when told my next column due date had been pushed back a week to accommodate Dave's column. Which is fine. I'm always prepared for fun.
Dave is a bit of an excitable oddball, and has been all over the map on the development issue. Below is a comment he left on my blog a few years back. Apparently The Linkster has made quite a journey from green acres anti-Capitalist defender of the Passionist Monastery's natural splendor, to the bad development hack he has become today.
Yes, dung of the devil, indeed. And certainly not at all complimentary of Father Michael. It does make you wonder what it is they used to get to him.
