Now, according to Axios, Trump is appointing Ivanka to a position on the economic task force that will focus on how to best reopen the economy, perhaps one of the most significant committees to ever be assembled in this nation’s history, and that’s not hyperbole. This committee could help us stay out of a depression, or send us spiraling into one.

Because reasons, and Trump thinks she’s hot, which is still the creepiest thing he’s ever said, when she was 16.

Mnuchin is one of the world’s most shameless economic predators, a buzzard, but he is also Treasury Secretary, and thus – yes, he needs to be on the task force. Larry Kudlow has a remarkable ability to be wrong, about literally everything, and thus could be of some value in that they could mark his recommendations, and turn 180 from them. Kudlow is also an official economic advisor. So, yes – he could provide value and should be one.

Your guess is as good as mine as to what Princess Ivanka brings to this task force. “Hotness?” Trump’s word – not mine.

Imagine the people that could be sitting there in her place (those aren’t the only three on the task force, but just imagine). Paul Krugman? The Nobel winning economist, Princeton professor, and NY Times columnist will not be on the task force. My boss – our own Nicole James– an accomplished economist, and creator of at least one more job than Ivanka, won’t be on the task force.

Barack Obama, who knows a lot about a lot of things, won’t be on the task force (I wonder if he’d do it as a public service if sincerely asked – I bet he would). None of the nuns on the bus will be on the economic task force, even though they sure do know what impacts poor people.

You get the drift, there are a lot of good people that could contribute hugely to the necessary effort to get the country moving again – and yet Ivanka will have their seat at the table.

Once someone goes over the event horizon, they are never heard from again, all information is lost. I guess that was nothing but an inspired hope of mine. But Trump is gone, at least all rationality has … never been there.
