Meanwhile, 45 percent of respondents said they do not support impeaching and removing Trump from office, a 9-point decrease from the May survey. Eight percent said they do not have an opinion on the matter.
The increase in support stems from shifting opinions among independents and Republicans. The new survey found that 46 percent of independent respondents and 14 percent of Republican respondents support impeaching and removing Trump from office.

The rising support for impeachment comes as House Democrats have launched an impeachment inquiry against Trump over a whistleblower's allegations that the president pressured Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden.
