Jim Bakker is warning that if
President Donald Trump loses the 2020 election it may lead to the end of the world.
“
Trump is a godly president who is trying to move
America in the right direction with the anti-abortion legislation,” said
Bakker on his
YouTube show. “But if we elect a godless liberal, who favors killing babies and promoting gay marriage,
God might just give up on
America and start the
Apocalypse.”
Bakker is best known for a sex and financial scandal involving his ministry in the 1980s.
Bakker went to jail and has now reinvented him as an
End Times preacher, who sells survivalist gear. He recently hosted a guest who claimed global warming was caused by “sin.”
But his views about
Trump are in line with fellow fundies. According to preacher
Franklin Graham,
Trump’s 2016 election was an act of
God.
“I think
God was behind the last election,” said
Graham in an interview with the
Western Journal. However,
America’s intelligence agencies and the
Mueller report both state that
Trump won because of massive interference from
Russia.
