Trump can’t tell the difference between black leaders Cory Booker and Andrew Gillum — mixes them up during Texas speech (Raw Storylink): There were many awkward moments during the Texas Trump rally for Ted Cruz, but one moment was an epic blunder. During President Donald Trump’s attack on the Democratic Party, he started in attacking a mayor running for governor in Florida.
“The mayor who did one of the worst jobs of any mayor other than the guy running for governor in Florida. He was a horrible mayor. Cory Booker. He destroyed what he did,” Trump said.
Booker was actually the mayor of Newark, New Jersey and Andrew Gillum is the mayor in Florida who is running for governor. Both men are African American though they look nothing alike and live in completely different states.
Booker is now a Senator and Gillum is still the mayor while running for Governor. Still, Trump can’t seem to get them straight.
