I guess this is a milestone of sorts. Testimony to the fact that if you lay out the truth to the best of your ability, and in an unvarnished and clear sort of way, people just might take the time to stop by and read what you have to say once in a while. Go figure.
Of course, there are those who don't enjoy that sort of thing, or were not equipped by their creator with the ability to properly understand any of it. And yes, they will complain. Sometimes bitterly. But isn't that really the definition of futility? Worrying about what people think? Trust me, many don't.
If you enjoy having critics, then start a blog and tell the truth as you understand it. Do it on a daily basis if possible. You'll be surprised at how poorly some people will react. Take about a minute to care about that. Then gently steer the poor dears to Facebook.
Where I am going to take this in the future is anyone's guess. Mine included.
So you know, we just sold our house out here in the big dusty and will be moving back down the valley to somewhere around Sierra Madre. We're looking at houses now so if you know of anything, send me an email. We've always gone the fixer-upper route, so no home is too humble. We are not fancy people.
Total numbers for The Tattler at this moment are these: 5 million hits, 169,765 comments, 3,021 posts. And counting.
I'm still getting started. And at this point writing a blog is so hardwired into my brain I probably couldn't stop even if I wanted.
